Thank you to all youth, parents, teachers, GSA’s and allies who helped make the 2013 contest a huge success! Congratulations to all the winners, finalists and honourable mentions of the Out in Schools 2013 Rise Against Homophobia youth video contest! Over 300 contestants entered 90 videos from across Canada, making 2013 the most popular year of the competition!

The 2013 Rise Against Homophobia youth video contest (#RAH2013) invited youth from across Canada to produce public service announcement videos speaking out against homophobia, transphobia and bullying to promote safer and diverse communities. Winning videos were selected by a national jury comprised of students and youth leaders from across Canada. The top three entries were awarded cash prizes and premiered at the 25th Vancouver Queer Film Festival, and will screen in Out in Schools presentations across British Columbia.
